The look and landscaping for a Signal Butte Water Treatment Plant on 23.5 acres at 10950 E. Elliot Road will be discussed at the Tuesday, May 12, meeting of the Mesa Design Review Board.

The proposed use is a water treatment plant facility serving the city’s potable water distribution system by treating water from the Central Arizona Project Canal. Existing improvements on the parcel include two city of Mesa groundwater-supply well sites: Well 22 is on the northeast side of the property and Well 21 to the southeast property line next to Elliot Road, according to supporting documents for the agenda. The treatment plant will have an initial capacity of 24 million gallons per day and an ultimate capacity of 48 mgd. The city of Mesa is the owner of the property and Chris Scott is the project engineer.
