Operation Homefront partners with Dollar Tree

Operation Homefront and Dollar Tree Inc. have joined forces again this year to gather school supplies for military children across the country. The supplies can be purchased by customers at Dollar Tree locations in the Phoenix metropolitan area as well as the more than 5,000 Dollar Tree and Deals stores nationwide and placed in collection boxes in each store, according to a press release.

Dollar Tree stores will collect supplies through Aug. 13. Once the collection period concludes, Operation Homefront will distribute the supplies to military children during the back-to-school season in August and September.

Dollar Tree stores in Mesa include: 1260 S. Gilbert Road, 1110 W. Southern Ave. Suite 16, 2714 E. University Drive and 63 N. Greenfield Road Suite 101, according to www.DollarTree.com.

“The school supplies donated by Dollar Tree customers are an essential part of our family support program to help prepare military kids for the school year,” Jack Chirrick, Operation Homefront regional director, said in the release.  “Our terrific partnership with Dollar Tree – now in our seventh year – really helps ease the financial burden that the back-to-school season can bring.”
