Harry Harris of Mesa’s latest book, “And Hereby Hangs a Tale of Murder,” has been published on www.smashwords.com.
The book takes place in 1920. The Great War was over; peace had been declared two years before, yet the devastated people in Europe were still struggling to get their lives back to normal again. The people in Greece were no different. One of those Greek citizens – George Hurrasakis – marries an attractive, young Greek girl solely to obtain her dowry and the two immigrate to America, according to a press release.
The book is their story of frightening confrontations and life in a poverty-stricken section of New York City. Mr. Hurrasakis manages to obtain his dream by clandestinely stealing money from the restaurant owner, by going into partnership with a fellow Greek and ultimately managing to become the sole owner of the restaurant by doing away with his partner, according to the release.
