Diane Senffner and Charlie LeSueur of Mesa are appearing this weekend in featured roles in the Neil Simon comedy “Barefoot in the Park.” The play is being performed by Zao Theater inside Centerstage Church, 3700 E. 16th Ave. in Apache Junction. Ms. Senffner has been performing in the Valley for 20 years, according to the play’s handbill. Her most recent role was Marie Lombardi in “Lombardi” at Desert Stages Theatre in Scottsdale. In “Barefoot,” she plays Mrs. Banks, the mother of a free-spirited newlywed woman. In “Barefoot,” Mr. LeSueur plays Victor Velasco, the newlyweds’ crazy neighbor. At one point in the play, Mrs. Banks, Mr. Velasco and the newlyweds — played by, above from left, Melissa Powers, Mr. LeSueur, Ms. Senffner and Kellen Garner — go out for a night on the town and let their hair down.
