SmithGroupJJR, an architecture, engineering and planning firm, has promoted architect Scott Kreitlein of Mesa at its Phoenix office.
Mr. Kreitlein joined SmithGroupJJR in 2014 as leader of the Science and Technology Studio at its Phoenix office.
A 20-year architecture veteran, Mr. Kreitlein is recognized for his expertise in the design and planning of biocontainment and animal holding facilities. Notable projects include those at the Tulane National Primate Research Center in Covington, Louisiana; the BSRB2 Zayed Building for Personalized Cancer Care for the University of Texas – MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston; and the Taiwan Center for Disease Control near Taipei, Taiwan R.O.C.
Mr. Kreitlein has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University.
He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is a LEED Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council.
