On May 16, LiveWire in Scottsdale will host Rock ‘N’ Roe, an all-ages concert event benefiting Planned Parenthood Arizona. “A Silent Film” from Oxford, England, headlines the show, with “The Filthy Souls,” also from the UK, opening the show, according to a press release.
Planned Parenthood Arizona is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All proceeds from the concert will go directly to Planned Parenthood Arizona to support advocacy efforts, education programming and health services statewide, according to the release.
Rock ‘N’ Roe celebrates the 42 years since the U.S. Supreme Court confirmed that the constitutionally protected right to privacy includes every woman’s right to make her own personal medical decisions, without the interference of politicians, while also honoring Arizonans who continue the fight to maintain that freedom, according to the release.
The event is 6-9 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at LiveWire, 7320 E. Indian Plaza in Scottsdale. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets cost $20 plus fees. For more information, go to the Planned Parenthood Arizona event website.
“We cannot thank LiveWire, Creative Media Investments, ‘A Silent Film’ and ‘The Filthy Souls’ enough for generously donating their resources to this fundraising event,” Bryan Howard, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Arizona, said in the release. “This a great way for our supporters of all ages to get together and celebrate what we have accomplished, while also remembering the work that still needs to be done in our state.”
