AT&T hosted its annual National High Technology Day and STEM Career Tour Feb. 27 at AT&T’s Mesa Complex, 1355 W. University Drive. Now in its 17th year, the event hosted more than 2,200 teens in 32 cities across the country and was coordinated by AT&T’s Latino organization, HACEMOS and the Women of AT&T, according to a press release.
National High Technology Day is designed to give students insight into the many opportunities available in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. More than 60 local high school students participated in the event in Mesa. The event featured presentations from various STEM professions and National Geographic, as well as a site tour, according to the release.
